This is very odd, upon installing the recent patch, I'm unable to login.
"Already Running
Guild Wars is unable to start because another copy is already running on this computer, or because the application has insuffcient rights to sucessfully detect whether another copy is already running on this computer"
What the heck??!
I rebooted to try and solve the problem, no sucess. I'm unable to now login in!
Is anyone else seeing this...help

I was able to log in to run the patch. However, I was dismayed of how BADLY the heroes did. I was hero/hench vanquishing at Regent Valley. At one point, I died. Then the oddest thing occurred. Koss and Drunkoro just stopped doing anything. They stood over my body, looking at me for 15 seconds. The grawls aggroed them and they still stood doing nothing. I tried to manipulate their bars but it was too late. They got smoked.
If this is an improvement, sheesh. They went from not kiting to not doing anything.

I confirm that yes, heroes and henchies are still borked.
I'd rather that they not kite than not cast.

Monks are set to passive, everyone else is set to guard. The warriors seem to be fine, but Zhed and Talkora are having hour-long brain farts.

Bryant, mine was set the same way. Olias and Koss to guard, Drunkoro to passive. Although, from the way Koss was going, not sure if Leroy Jenkins is a setting. When he did respond he thought he was Hercules, soloing against 4-5 enemies.

two rules of data representation:
-if a list surpasses the length of a page: add a scrollbar
-if it surpasses the length of two pages: add sort options or categories..
Anet, please sort titles into collapsible lists for
+PvP/account wide titles
+Tyrian titles
+Canthan titles
+Elonian titles
..this doesn't take long to program and please add a [collapse all] button next to the skill sorting menu.

perhaps I chose the easiest zone to vanquish, but I totally breezed through Watchtower Coast with Alesia, Tahlkora, SS necro hero, MM necro here, and myself as warrior.
Guess I should try Old Ascalon and really put them to the test.

Another stealth update: select inscriptions have different graphics; it's now easier to tell apart ones for spellcasting weapons and ones for melee weapons.

Well, this update is a list of everything I wanted....
Will just have to get home and see whether the execution is as good as the theory. Good to see that the moan thread I started on axe sounds has prompted a response.
Moaning on Guru FTW!

I'm going to say this once. And one time only. PROGRAMMING IS HARD. Take it from me. I can EASILY spend 2 weeks on a 1,000+ line script that fails to work. Indeed, they add a couple hundred lines of code. But is it right the first time? No. It's not. Rarely is it right the first time. I remember one time I spend 5 days on 1 single line. know what was wrong? a bloody SEMI-COLON at the end of a php expression.
So, try not and whine about something you obviously never done before.

which is a fair comment. But surely there is some testing that should pick this up
And moaning is unhelpful
Constructive critisim is helpful, even if its unwanted.
If it does resolve some off the "Rambo" nature of heroes and hench ill be most pleased, as most of my guildies are not interested in hard mode so its fairly certain im soloing with Heroes for much of hard!

Old Ascalon is easy. Some of the various boulder elementals even seem to have the same presearing AI that they had when they were level 2 (plus a skillbar of dwarven battle stance and no hammer)
Try Diessa Lowlands, which is full of charr (who are now hard) for more of a challenge.
Some enemies went from realy easy to really challenging in hard mode (for example the kournan army) but a lot stayed about exactly the same in their difficulty.

When you use a different skill, i was testing critical chop, it made a sound like crunching metal. LoL. Also i think when you axe criticals it sounds like you are smooshing a bug or something, i never really had my effects turned up loud, so this is all pretty much new to me.
Agree on heroes, they are really messed up, not attacking and stuff.
